  • 1960s Inspired Stratocaster / Telecaster Hybrid Guitar—a true musical chimera!

    1. The body is a patchwork quilt of salvaged materials: roofing timber and a broken Stratocaster. It’s like a musical Frankenstein, stitched together with love and a touch of rebellious spirit in a red and natural wood finish?
    2. Jedson-Stratocaster Lovechild: The body, inspired by 1960s Japanese Jedson guitars, is routed to accommodate a standard Stratocaster scratchplate and tremolo unit. HSH routing means it’s ready for humbuckers, single coils, and everything in between.
    3. The maple neck has a rosewood type fretboard, refurbished and reborn, carries its own stories. New machine heads ensure tuning stability, and the complete tremolo bridge adds a touch of dive-bombing drama.
    4. This guitar isn’t just wood and metal; it’s a fusion of past and present, grit and grace.
    5. The neck wears a light nitro finish—a nod to vintage vibes. It’s like a well-aged wine, improving with time and resonating with every chord you play.
    6. The scratchplate, pickups and electrics are lifted straight from a brand new guitar – they look like a Strat and they sound like a Strat. The electrics and pickups are mid price range generic ones – they definitely aren’t rubbish.

This Tele style body is routed to take a Humbucker neck pickup and standard Telecaster bridge pickup. This body has been through the wars and has several deep scratches on the rear and a few minor ones on the front. This quality body is perfect to turn into a rugged relic. The wood is described (when purchased by me) as Poplar however it weighs nearly 2kg and therefore could be another denser type. Poplar is known for its excellent tonal qualities, great resonance making it ideal for guitar bodies.

This would make an awesome relic / roadworn body

    1. Worn and Weathered: The rear of this body—the deep scratches, like old war wounds. With minor ones on the front? Battle-tested, like a seasoned warrior. It’s not about pristine perfection; it’s about character. This body has had a tough life.
    2. Poplar Resonance: Poplar, despite its lightweight reputation, surprises us here. At nearly 2 kg, it’s denser than expected. And that’s good news! Poplar is like a musical chameleon—it resonates beautifully, making it an ideal canvas for your sonic adventures.
    3. Humbucker and Tele Bridge: The routing tells a tale: Humbucker neck pickup for warmth and sustain, and the standard Telecaster bridge pickup for twangy bite. It’s like having two musical personalities in one body.
    4. Gloss Finish: The black gloss finish—like a midnight sky. It’s sleek, mysterious, and ready for the spotlight. And hey, it’s the perfect backdrop for your future riffing.
    5. Relic Potential: This body isn’t just a canvas; it’s a time capsule. Imagine turning it into a roadworn relic—a guitar that wears its history proudly. Each scratch becomes a badge of honor.
