1990s Squier Body – Part Loaded – YN Neck Plate

This gloss black body is a great addition to any guitar project build and the Fender Squier YN neck plate is a bonus for your retro partcaster build.

I bought this Stratocaster body as a 1990s Squier YN laminated body many years ago however, please examine the photographs to draw your own conclusion to its origins.

The general condition of the body is very good for its age. I have replaced the tremolo springs (the original ones were rusty) with new replacement ones. If you look at the image of the neck pocket you can see a number has been stamped in it.

The chrome work is not new and most probably where fitted when the guitar was originally assembled.

  • Approx neck pocket width 56.5mm
  • Approx body thickness 40mm

The brand Squier is known for their quality and this body is no exception. The light roadworn black colour will add a sleek touch to any partscaster build.

Rat Bait Guitars are different from other guitars in several ways. First of all, they are made from recycled wood gathered from various sources, such as old furniture, fence posts, roof constructions, flooring, and more.

These discarded bits of timber are reused and reshaped into guitar bodies that have a unique character and history. The wood is also upcycled, repurposed, and recycled, which means that it reduces waste and saves resources. Rat Bait Guitars are custom built, which means that each guitar is one of a kind and not repeatable.
